Sanjay Ayre, a Jamaican 4x400m Olympic silver medalist, earned his medal at the 2000 Sydney Games as part of Jamaica’s relay team. A consistent performer from his junior years, Ayre won numerous CARIFTA Games (U20) and Pan American Junior Championships medals. He transitioned to senior athletics, earning his Olympic medal plus three World Championships medals in 2001, 2003, and 2005, all in the 4x400m relay. Known for his strength and speed, Ayre’s personal best in the 400m is 44.92 seconds. His dedication and achievements in both individual and relay events have cemented his legacy in Jamaican sprinting.
