A standout in Jamaican sprinting, Raymond Stewart won a silver medal in the 4x100m relay at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He competed in four consecutive Olympic Games and six World Championships. In 1987, Stewart claimed two World Championship medals in Rome: a silver in the 100m and a bronze in the 4x400m relay. Known for his consistency in the 100m event, Stewart dominated from his junior years, where he earned numerous gold medals at the CARIFTA Games, to his senior career. He has a personal best of 9.96s in the 100m. His remarkable achievements solidified his status as one of Jamaica’s top sprinters in the 100m.
